Italian energy giant Eni has outlined plans for significant growth in 2025, with five major project start-ups set to enhance its upstream production capabilities. These new projects will elevate the company’s upstream production to an average of 1.7 million barrels of oil equivalent per day this year, marking a major milestone in Eni’s global energy operations.
The five upcoming projects are strategically located across various key oil-producing regions, with two sites in Angola, two in Norway, and one in Congo-Brazzaville. This geographical diversity highlights Eni’s continued focus on expanding its footprint in both established and emerging energy markets.
Eni’s Chief Transition and Financial Officer, Francesco Gattei, emphasized the company’s commitment to growth. “Growth is an important feature in our plan. We are creating value, leveraging our competitive strength in the upstream,” Gattei said during a call with analysts on Thursday.
The new developments come as part of Eni’s broader strategy to enhance its upstream portfolio, further solidifying its position as a leading energy player. As the company moves forward with these projects, it is expected to not only increase its production but also generate substantial value through improved operational efficiencies and strategic asset development. The company’s diversified geographical approach also ensures a balanced exposure to different energy markets, positioning Eni for sustained success in a competitive global energy landscape.
