EnerMech has been awarded the pre-commissioning contract for the ONE GUYANA FPSO, which is part of SBM Offshore’s operations in Guyana. This floating production storage and offloading unit is expected to arrive in Guyanese waters later this year.
The company has previously completed successful pre-commissioning campaigns for the three FPSOs currently operational in the area: Liza Destiny, Liza Unity, and Prosperity. Recently, EnerMech also secured the Gas-to-Energy Pipeline Pre-Commissioning Project, which involved turnaround activities for the Destiny and Unity FPSOs.
The ONE GUYANA FPSO, commissioned by SBM Offshore for ExxonMobil Guyana, is engineered to produce around 250,000 barrels of oil per day (bopd) and has a gas treatment capacity of approximately 450 million cubic feet per day, along with a water injection capacity of about 300,000 barrels per day (bpd). It will be anchored in a water depth of approximately 1,800 meters and will have the ability to store around 2 million barrels of crude oil.
As part of the pre-commissioning contract, EnerMech will perform essential tasks such as leak testing of offshore risers, de-watering of gas injection risers, testing of umbilical electrical and fiber optic systems, and the installation of interconnecting tubing, along with flushing and testing equipment on the ONE GUYANA FPSO.
EnerMech CEO Charles Davison, Jr. expressed pride in being chosen again by SBM Offshore for this significant project, highlighting the trust in their solution-oriented strategies and capabilities. He noted that this contract builds on EnerMech’s extensive experience with the previous FPSOs—Liza Destiny, Liza Unity, and Prosperity—underscoring their commitment to providing high-quality services in the region.
“Our selection for this vital work not only showcases our proven track record but also reflects our unmatched expertise and the stringent standards we uphold. We are eager to play a role in the success of this project,” he added.
